I’m Dr. Sarah Sawyer, and I have been a Veterinarian here at Timber Creek Small Animal Hospital since 2021.
I am a Texas native, born and raised in Odessa. I completed my undergraduate studies at West Texas A&M University where I also enjoyed playing sports at the collegiate level. I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2021.
My journey with Timber Creek began well before graduation—I originally joined the team as a technician in 2015 and have been a committed staff member ever since.
My commitment is to provide compassionate, skilled, and gentle care to your beloved pet throughout every stage of their life.
When I’m away from the clinic, I cherish time with my husband, Wesley, and our son, Sawyer. I also share my life with my Bernese Mountain Dogs Hattie Belle and June Carter.

I’m Dr. McKayla Best, and I will be starting my veterinary career at Timber Creek Small Animal Hospital.
I was born and raised in Artesia New Mexico. I completed my Undergraduate studies at West Texas A&M University and worked as a technician at Timber Creek Small Animal Hospital. I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine in 2026.
My commitment is to provide exceptional, compassionate, and individualized comprehensive care to every pet that walks through our doors.
During my time away from the clinic, I enjoy riding horses with my husband, Jasper, and our border collie, Doc.
